Making Books School
About
A five-day course teaches six book structures, a Solander box and introductory foil blocking.
Each cohort meets for five consecutive days to learn pamphlets, Japanese stab bindings, concertinas, single-section case bindings, exposed-spine bindings and round-back case bindings, plus Solander boxes and foil blocking. Tools and materials are supplied. Current booking tables name Simon Goode and Kate Rochester for all cohorts, with Amelie Genestine-Charlton additionally listed for January and February. The four cohorts share this same curriculum and are grouped here; each booking covers a whole five-day course. Advance workshop booking is required; sold-out listings remain published programmes and are not treated as cancellations.
