The Russell Connection: Winchcombe Pottery 1926-2026
About
A museum exhibition marking the centenary of Winchcombe Pottery, exploring the links between the Russell family and the pottery through a series of stories.
The exhibition celebrates the centenary of Winchcombe Pottery and tells the little-known story of the connections between the Russell family and the pottery. It begins with Gordon Russell's father showing the pioneering potter Michael Cardew the redundant pottery at Winchcombe. The show is one of five centenary exhibitions across the Cotswolds, with related displays at Court Barn in Chipping Campden, Winchcombe Museum, The Edgeler Collection and Nature in Art near Gloucester, plus a celebration weekend at the pottery itself on 12th and 13th September.
