Wellbeing in Nature
About
A free outdoor wellbeing session at Brodsworth Community Woodland combining mindfulness, group catch-ups, nature crafts and wild foraging for adults.
This session begins with simple mindfulness exercises to help attendees relax and connect with their natural surroundings, followed by a group catch-up. A demonstration of a nature craft or wild foraging technique then follows, with past crafts including willow weaving, print making, seed bombs, campfire cooking and nature art. Foraged herbal teas and other foraged treats are often available to taste, with hot drinks and biscuits provided. Sessions usually take place outside under a canvas shelter near The Holt classroom building, a short walk from the woodland's main entrance, with a lift across site available for those who need it.
