Magic of Maples Family Trail
About
A self-led family trail through Silk Wood at Westonbirt exploring the science and stories of autumn maples, with nine stamps to collect.
Forestry England's Magic of Maples trail invites families to explore Silk Wood at Westonbirt, The National Arboretum during the autumn colour season. Inspired by the National Collection of Maples, the self-led route features hands-on activities, discoveries and challenges revealing the secrets and science behind the arboretum's spectacular autumn trees. Visitors pick up a trail leaflet and pencil from the Welcome Building and collect stamps at nine stops while answering questions along the way. The trail takes about 1.5 hours on a hard surface suitable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters, prams and buggies, and is dog friendly.
