Twist and Shine

Kaleider's interactive landscape of twistable light sculptures made of interconnected prisms, part of Light Up Lancaster.

Twist & Shine is a landscape of interactive light sculptures built from interconnected prisms that can be twisted into thousands of different shapes. Each time someone changes a sculpture, they inherit their starting point from previous visitors, so the landscape evolves and accumulates a shared story. Members of the public can work together or watch others play. The work was commissioned by RHS Bridgewater for Glow 2023 and by Lux Helsinki in 2025, and develops Kaleider's earlier piece Let's Twist.
