Tours of Broseley Pipeworks

A guided tour through a preserved Victorian clay tobacco pipe factory explores the work and families behind Broseley’s pipe-making industry.

Visit the largely unchanged Pipeworks, one of the UK’s last clay tobacco pipe producers, and explore the factory’s exhibitions and displays. A recently donated wages ledger helps the guide tell the stories of working families around 1900. Each published tour lasts one hour; meet at the entrance building 10 minutes before the booked start. The historic site has uneven floors, many steps and narrow passages, and is not suitable for wheelchair users, mobility scooters or pushchairs.
