Changing Rooms: Celebrating Trans Domesticities

A free day-to-night celebration opening the Museum’s A High-rise Flat in 2008 display, with screenings, poetry, a housing panel, a trans makers market and cabaret.

This community-led programme launches A High-rise Flat in 2008, a room display based on research into trans stories, lives and homes in 2000s East London. The announced programme includes screenings curated and hosted by TGirlsOnFilm, poetry readings, a market for trans artists and makers (12pm–7pm), a panel led by Trans Action for Housing Justice, and evening cabaret. The wider launch runs from 12pm to 9pm. The full timetable has not yet been published; individual programme sessions are first-come, subject to room capacity. The cabaret is restricted to ages 18 and over.
