Oxford and Cambridge AI Race
About
A free one-day hackathon and policy competition at King's College, Cambridge, pitting Oxford and Cambridge participants against each other in AI building and governance challenges.
This one-day hackathon and policy competition brings together students, researchers and aspiring entrepreneurs from Oxford and Cambridge to tackle real-world challenges through AI, technology and public policy. Participants compete in two tracks — a Build Track creating AI projects (including AI × Solana applications) and a Policy Track developing governance proposals — with cash prizes up to £2000, fast-track access to the Solana Scholars Programme and tickets to the Solana Breakpoint Conference. The day runs from registration and breakfast at 09:00 through keynote, panels, a mentored build sprint, pitches, judging and awards, ending with dinner and networking at 21:30. No prior AI or blockchain experience is required, and return transport from Oxford is provided for Oxford students.
