Monkton Wyld Court hosts a four-hour Halloween evening at its Gothic mansion near Bridport. Activities include a craft corner making dragons' eyes from wool, pumpkin carving, a bat walk and talk with a trustee in the gardens at dusk, pumpkin soup and hot chocolate by the firepit, apple bobbing, facepainting and a PG spooky film on the big screen. Fancy dress is encouraged with a prize for the best costume, and the event is aimed at adults and children alike.
