Gawthorpe Textiles Collection Exhibition

An exhibition from the Rachel Kay-Shuttleworth textiles collection at Gawthorpe Hall, themed around colour, featuring embroidery, woolwork and costume.

This exhibition displays a selection from the extensive textile collection built up by Rachel Kay-Shuttleworth, an expert needlewoman who collected and studied textiles throughout her lifetime. Organised around the theme of 'Colour', it showcases embroidery, pattern and printing, woolwork, metallic threads and costume pieces. The display is on the first floor of the hall, and as the building is historic there is no lift.
