Exhibition: Burnley Now and Then by Phoenix Textile Artists
About
A free mixed-media textile art exhibition by Phoenix Textile Artists exploring Burnley's landscape, history, present day and café culture.
Phoenix Textile Artists return to Burnley Mechanics with Burnley Now and Then, an exhibition of textile and mixed media art offering personal responses to the area's landscape, history and present day, plus a section inspired by the town's café culture. The group, who meet monthly at Fence Village Hall, work across traditional and modern methods including hand and machine embroidery, hand dyeing, felting, knitting, spinning and weaving. The exhibition is open to the public 11am to 3pm on Tuesdays to Saturdays until the end of November.
