Tuesday Work Days Throughout The Year

Weekly Tuesday work days where visitors can watch volunteers maintaining the pumping station and see the beam engines, with free entry.

Every Tuesday, volunteers at Crofton Pumping Station carry out maintenance and repair work across the site, from the boiler to the grounds, and members of the public are welcome to come and watch. Knowledgeable volunteers are on hand to guide visitors around, and the beam engines can be seen with free entry. The work days run throughout the year except 22 and 29 December 2026, and visitors can picnic in the grounds overlooking the canal and railway.
