Annie Worsley, a crofter, writer and academic geographer living in the Northwest Highlands, shares the story of Red River Croft and its role in a vast, wild landscape. Her talk explores the croft's significance to community, agriculture and the environment in a changing climate, covering rewilding, restoration and the resilience of nature when given space to heal. She also discusses how life on the croft is shaped by powerful weather systems and the interplay of atmospheric, oceanic, geological and biological forces, and how these influence landforms, people, place and social and cultural history.
