Writing as a Visual Act with Victoria Doyle
About
A pay-what-you-feel writing workshop introducing the calligram, combining playful writing exercises with typographical experimentation.
This hands-on workshop introduces the calligram, a text piece in which words are arranged to visually express the subject or meaning of the text. Participants are guided through playful writing exercises and experiment with typographical devices to produce their own calligram. The session is open to all levels with no previous writing experience needed, and is ideal for anyone interested in experimental or performative writing. It is delivered by Creative Workshops NE CIC, a not-for-profit focusing on wellbeing through art.
