Applique Patch Making with Rachael Eden

A beginner-friendly hand sewing and embroidery workshop using reclaimed fabrics to create applique patches for repairing or customising clothes.

Participants work with colourful reclaimed fabrics to make an expressive patch to adorn clothing or cover a damaged area. The session teaches simple hand sewing and embroidery skills in a supportive environment, and is aimed at beginners and anyone interested in repairing or customising their wardrobe. Attendees need the dexterity to use a needle and scissors. The workshop is delivered by Creative Workshops NE CIC, a not-for-profit focused on wellbeing through art for communities including queer, neurodiverse and low-income groups.
