And Red All Over

A student production of Sam Drury's play about a local democracy reporter racing to save a failing Oxfordshire newspaper with a scoop before Christmas Eve closure.

Sam Drury's play, part of the University of Oxford Student Season, is set on Christmas Eve 2026 at the failing Oxfordshire Chronicle, where reporter Jim Cloud believes a scoop can save the paper from closure in 36 hours. His editor sends cynical clickbait specialist Lucy along, and the pair clash as he hunts a front-page scandal. Described as funny, intriguing and ultimately tragic, the play explores duty, community and the decline of local newspapers.
