This precious human life: contemplating our mortality
About
A one-day silent meditation retreat led by Yanai Postelnik exploring maranasati, the Buddhist practice of contemplating mortality.
Oxford Insight Meditation hosts a one-day retreat with teacher Yanai Postelnik on the theme of death contemplation (maranasati), exploring how awareness of mortality can support living with wisdom, courage and an open heart. The day runs 10am–5pm and includes teachings, interactive exercises, meditation and contemplation in silence, with some time for sharing. It is suitable for anyone with experience of silent meditation practice, and participants are asked to commit to the full day. Attendance is possible in person at St Margaret's Institute or online via Zoom.
