African Djembe Drumming Juniors

A beginner-friendly djembe drumming taster workshop for young people aged 7-11, running over two half-term sessions.

This interactive taster session introduces young people to the djembe, a hand-played drum with roots in West Africa. Participants learn rhythms and techniques through call-and-response activities, rhythm games and collaborative drumming, building coordination and teamwork. No previous musical experience is required, and the session runs across two dates during the October half-term.
