Koyaanisqatsi | LIV:DOX

A cinema screening of Godfrey Reggio's wordless documentary Koyaanisqatsi, set to Philip Glass's score, at Unity Theatre.

LIV:DOX presents a screening of Koyaanisqatsi, the 1982 documentary whose Hopi title means 'life out of balance'. Built entirely from time-lapse and slow-motion footage with no dialogue or narration, the film moves from natural landscapes to the accelerating pace of cities and machines, carried by Philip Glass's score. It is the first film in the Qatsi trilogy and is shown here as a shared big-screen experience.
