About

A curator talk exploring how the First World War affected homes, businesses and organisations in Doncaster, from 1914 to long after the fighting ended.

This hour-long curator talk examines how the First World War was experienced in Doncaster, from the outbreak of war in August 1914 to long after fighting ceased in November 1918. It looks at the effects on homes, businesses and organisations across the town and shares true stories of war workers, nurses, conscientious objectors, entertainers and fundraisers. Tickets cost £5 and booking is required.
