About

A free 15-minute talk by Archaeology Curator Peter Robinson on an Iron Age gold stater found in Rossington and its links to the Corieltauvi tribe.

Archaeology Curator Peter Robinson presents a short lunchtime talk examining an Iron Age gold coin (stater) found in Rossington, Doncaster, in 1989. The talk explores the coin's connection with the Corieltauvi, a British tribe named by the Romans, and why only a handful of coins of this tribe have been found in the southern part of the borough between Bawtry and Rossington. The talk lasts 15 minutes and is free with no booking required.
