Stargazing with Richard Darn
About
Explore the autumn sky with astronomer Richard Darn, using telescopes to look at Saturn, the Moon and the Summer Triangle, with an indoor planetarium show if skies are cloudy.
A guided introduction to the autumn night sky with Richard Darn, staged with Go Stargazing. Telescope viewing takes place beside the Nature & Star Hub, with indoor presentations and a computer planetarium show if it is cloudy. Suitable for adults and children over six, including beginners. Wear warm layers and sensible outdoor footwear, and bring a torch. The event goes ahead unless conditions are hazardous. The Hub is wheelchair accessible; warm refreshments and free parking are included. The event was sold out when checked. The Nature & Star Hub is a separate building about 100 metres north-west of the main visitor centre, with its own car park through the raised barrier; look for red lights on the Hub and flashing red LEDs on the barrier. Toilets are at the main visitor centre.
