Stargazing Evenings

Astronomy guides help visitors explore the night sky through the Observatory’s historic telescopes, with indoor planetarium shows and talks as a weather alternative.

The astronomy team guides the evening’s telescope observing. If clouds, rain, fog or strong wind prevent observing, the programme continues with planetarium shows, talks about the night sky and opportunities to speak with astronomy experts. Gates open at 19:00 and the evening finishes at 23:00; booking is essential and tickets are non-refundable.
