About
A conservation volunteers' day cutting and raking last year's herbage to help flowering plants and butterflies such as the pearl-bordered fritillary.
Stover Country Park's monthly volunteers' day on 29 November focuses on grassland management. Volunteers will cut and rake last year's herbage in preparation for spring, work that benefits flowering plants and butterfly species such as the pearl-bordered fritillary. Tools are provided and no special skills are needed; participants should bring lunch and old clothes.
