Abbotts Hall Howling at the Moon

An adults-only woodland play session at Abbotts Hall with den building, hammocks, tool crafts and fireside moon howling.

Essex Wildlife Trust runs this adult-focused woodland play session during October half-term, aimed at grown-ups who want to enjoy the fun usually reserved for children. Participants can build dens, swing in hammocks, use tools and get creative with natural materials, finishing with pondering and howling at the moon around a fire. The two-hour session takes place outdoors in mixed terrain, meeting at the far car park near the yurt; attendees should dress for the weather and may bring a torch.
