About

A guided town walk exploring how Georgian prosperity shaped Cirencester's town centre, meeting at Corinium Museum.

This guided walk looks beyond Cirencester's Roman and medieval reputation to show how the town centre reflects its Georgian era, shaped by entrepreneurs and the rising middling sort. The walk covers political intrigue, riots, ruffians, religious non-conformity and Georgian entertainments. It runs 75 minutes, is limited to 12 people, and participants should wear comfortable shoes and bring a raincoat, meeting at the museum.
