A family workshop at Corinium Museum where participants learn about Roman curse tablets and inscribe their own spooky one for Halloween.
This hands-on family session explores how the Romans wrote secret curses on lead tablets and threw them into springs to hex their enemies, from stolen cloaks to chariot race rivals. Participants learn how to inscribe their own curse tablet, timed for Halloween. The event runs from 10:30am to 12:00pm and is bookable through the Cirencester History Festival website.
