Into Connection: Movement for Mental Health & Physical Well-Being
About
Pay-what-you-can creative movement workshops for LGBTQ+ participants, led by Dance Movement Psychotherapists at Poplar Union.
Into Connection is a series of group-based creative movement and body awareness sessions for LGBTQ+ and queer participants, running across autumn 2026. Each two-hour evening session offers guided exercises and creative tasks in a relaxed, informal setting, with activities adaptable to different abilities. Sessions are led by registered Dance Movement Psychotherapists — Chih-Heng Chao and Yara Nasrany — and emphasise self-expression, social connection and embodied introspection, with refreshments provided. The sessions are open to ages 16+ and are explicitly not clinical therapy.
