Let’s Walk – Black History Month Poplar Canal Walk to Three Mills
About
A free one-hour guided canal walk from Poplar Union to Three Mills, home of the oldest surviving tidal mill, led by a Canal & River Trust volunteer.
This Black History Month walk takes participants from Poplar Union along the towpath to Three Mills, which has the oldest surviving tidal mill. The walk lasts about an hour and is led by Canal & River Trust volunteer walk leader Tony Matthews, who shares information about the local area, heritage and wildlife along the way. Walkers return in time for the Let's Get Wild: Nature & Herbal Tea Walk starting at 11am, and well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome. The sessions are designed for adults and children from seven years old, with parents and guardians required to accompany children.
