Tapestry Weaving Experience

Learn basic tapestry weaving in a full-day beginner workshop with professional weaver Fiona Hutchison.

At Dovecot’s working tapestry studio, absolute beginners learn how a cotton warp and wool weft are used to build a woven design. Professional weaver Fiona Hutchison guides participants through a range of techniques. The £150 fee includes tapestry yarn and use of equipment; a glass of fizz is offered at the end. The event page asks attendees to contact Dovecot in advance about mobility needs so staff can plan for emergency evacuation. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable; participants can buy home-practice equipment from the shop with a 10% workshop-day discount.
