Tapestry Weaving

Learn frame-loom setup and tapestry techniques for shaping colour, line and texture in woven designs.

Over four tuition days, beginners and developing weavers practise setting up a small frame loom, choosing warp and weft, controlling tension, and creating shapes, lines and texture. The course also covers blending yarn colours and developing an individual design through demonstrations and group discussion. A weaving kit is included; guests may bring yarns they would like to try.
