Lantern Crafts and Singing Parade

An afternoon making upcycled jam-jar lanterns with Leith Community Growers, followed by a guided St Martin's Day singing parade to the Orchard.

Leith Community Growers host a lantern-making workshop where participants craft upcycled lanterns from jam jars and colourful tissue paper, with all materials provided. Community singing leader Jane Lewis teaches songs for the group to learn together. Inspired by the German St. Martin's Day tradition, the session ends with a lit lantern parade with singing as the group walks to the Orchard. Suitable for adults and children, with children accompanied by a guardian.
