BBC Philharmonic - Walton Symphony No. 1

The BBC Philharmonic and John Storgårds perform Vaughan Williams's Tallis Fantasia, a new Cassandra Miller premiere and Walton's First Symphony.

The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra under conductor John Storgårds performs Vaughan Williams's Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, the world premiere of Cassandra Miller's Dad Goes to the Mountain, and Walton's turbulent Symphony No. 1. The concert pairs Walton's frenzied 1935 symphony with Vaughan Williams's double string orchestra Fantasia. Exact timings were not yet published.
