The Commonwealth War Graves Commission runs free guided tours of Haddington (St. Martin's) New Cemetery, led by volunteer guides and meeting at the Cross of Sacrifice. The roughly 60-minute walk covers about 200 metres and introduces the Commission's history alongside the stories of the nearly 50 1939-1945 war casualties commemorated there, including East Lothian's extensive WW2 RAF connections. The route uses paths and grass with some uneven ground; wheelchair access is available and well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
