CWGC Tours 2026 - Newark-Upon-Trent Cemetery

A free hour-long guided tour of Newark-Upon-Trent Cemetery led by a Commonwealth War Graves Commission volunteer guide.

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission runs a free guided tour of Newark Cemetery, meeting at the Cross of Sacrifice. The tour covers the cemetery's history from 1856, the First World War graves of 49 servicemen, and the Second World War plot holding some 90 Commonwealth and almost 400 Polish graves, many linked to RAF burials. It lasts about 60 minutes, covers roughly 1500 metres on paths and grass with uneven ground, and wheelchair access is available. Donations to the Commonwealth War Graves Foundation are welcomed.
