This course is the entry point to the Pattern Cutting pathway and requires no prior knowledge. Students will learn core terminology, pattern cutting equipment, and how to read industry pattern blocks. The program involves practice exercises in ruler use, curve drafting, and taking accurate body measurements, culminating in drafting an industry-standard block adjusted to the student's proportions.
