Fotohane x The Art House
About
A free exhibition of hand-printed analogue photographs taken by children and young people near the Türkiye–Syria–Iraq border, presented by The Art House with Fotohane Darkroom.
The Art House launches an international collaboration with Fotohane Darkroom, a participatory arts project founded by photographers Serbest Salih and Amar Kılıç that uses analogue photography with children and young people living near the Türkiye–Syria–Iraq border regions. The exhibition presents hand-printed photographs made in The Art House's Darkroom from original negatives taken by the children, documenting their everyday lives, relationships, surroundings and imaginations. Contextual material about Fotohane's work and approach is shown alongside, marking the first step in a longer-term 'twinning-style' partnership between the two organisations.
