Apple Week: Half-Term Family Activities

A half-term programme celebrates Ampleforth’s heritage orchard with family apple-race games, a children’s orchard trail and apple crafts, tasting, a mini-exhibition and demonstrations of pressing at the Abbey’s Cider Mill.

Across the week, families can try lawn games including an apple-and-spoon race, follow a children’s orchard trail, make apple crafts, taste apples, watch pressing demonstrations at the Cider Mill and visit an exhibition about the orchard’s history. Activities run 24–31 October; individual activity times are not specified.
