Alfred Janes, Maker of Pictures, talk and book launch with Dr Ceri Thomas

Free talk and book launch with Dr Ceri Thomas on the artist Alfred Janes at Glynn Vivian Art Gallery.

Dr Ceri Thomas gives a free talk marking the launch of his new book Alfred Janes, Maker of Pictures, offering new insights into the Swansea artist's life, work and legacy. The talk accompanies the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery exhibition of the same name, drawn from the gallery's Permanent Collection alongside private loans. Janes described himself as 'a maker of pictures', working across still lifes, portraits, abstract images and constructions in materials from oil paint to perspex.
