Peter Finnemore, Silvers of Space

A free solo exhibition by Welsh artist Peter Finnemore exploring his family home through photography, painting, collage and video.

Silvers of Space is a new solo exhibition by Welsh artist Peter Finnemore, centred on his family home, Gwendraeth House in the Gwendraeth Valley, West Wales. Drawing on his family's background in painting and decorating, Finnemore transforms wallpaper, paint and other trade materials into contemporary artworks, questioning boundaries between craft and fine art. The exhibition also references his great-uncle Sidney Finnemore, a painter-decorator and amateur artist, and combines photography with painting, collage and video to explore place, memory and generational history. It runs during gallery opening hours, Tuesday to Sunday, 10am–4.30pm, with a Glynn Vivian at Night event on 15 October 2026.
