About
A talk by Beth Brunton on osteological analysis of cremated Bronze Age remains from Sketewan, Balnaguard, and what they reveal about funerary practices.
Beth Brunton presents the bioarchaeological analysis of cremated human remains from Sketewan, Balnaguard, an Early to Middle Bronze Age funerary site in Perthshire. The talk explores how the analysis determines cremation technology and associated funerary practices, and what this site can tell us about Bronze Age funerary practices across Scotland more broadly. The one-hour talk takes place in the main hall of Perth Museum, with doors opening at 6.45pm.
