180 Years of Dewar’s: From Perth High Street to the World
About
An evening of talks and whisky tasting at Perth Museum marking the 180th anniversary of the Dewar’s whisky brand.
Culture Perth and Kinross hosts a two-hour evening at Perth Museum celebrating 180 years of Dewar’s, tracing how the Perthshire whisky brand grew from its Perth roots into a global success. Historians and whisky industry figures including Arthur Motley, Jacqui Seargeant, Professor Niall Mackenzie and Lord Forteviot explore the rise of Perthshire’s whisky industry and the Dewar family’s philanthropic legacy. The night closes with a tasting of three whiskies — Dewar’s White Label, Dewar’s Double Double 21 Year Old and Aberfeldy 21 Year Old — led by Jonathan Wilson, with original Dewar’s archive artefacts on display. Attendees also receive a complimentary Aberfeldy Distillery tour ticket valid between 1 November 2026 and 28 February 2027; the event is for adults aged 18+ only.
