Willow Weaving Basketry: Friday Afternoon
About
Learn stake-and-strand willow weaving and make a round basket in a five-week course led by Donald and Karen Spy.
Donald and Karen Spy of Silverhare Baskets lead this five-week course in traditional stake-and-strand willow weaving. Participants learn basket bases, shaping, side weaves and borders, then make simple round baskets using Fife and Somerset willow. The course suits beginners and people with some basketry experience; tools and materials are provided. Willow work can be demanding for the hands. The page describes a five-week Friday course within the 30 October–11 December booking interval. Contact Forgan for the complete meeting-date list.
