Hand-bound Brush Making
About
Make up to three functional brushes by binding natural fibres with colourful nylon thread.
Basketmaker Simon Cooper, also known as The Bumbling Basketeer, teaches a hand-bound brush-making session using Tampico or Arenga fibres and colourful nylon thread. Participants shape and finish brushes, with decorative details to make each one their own. Tools and materials are included. Shoes are removed during the workshop. Tea and coffee are provided; bring your own lunch and utensils, as there are no facilities to refrigerate or reheat meals. The class is aimed at people over 16. Younger crafters may be accommodated with a participating adult; contact the school before booking.
