Leading Reading in a Primary School
About
A free two-part professional development programme for primary school reading leaders, with a full-day session in Lincoln and a follow-up online session.
This programme supports primary school leaders responsible for reading. The first session, a full day at The Regatta in Lincoln, covers effective reading leadership, subject knowledge around fluency, comprehension and reading for pleasure, and building an inclusive, progressive reading curriculum, with self-evaluation tools to identify school priorities. A gap task is followed by a shorter online session on 3 November, where participants review progress, discuss implementation and staff development, and refine action plans for sustainable improvement.
