Innovating technologies for neuromorphic computing
About
A three-day Royal Society scientific meeting on neuromorphic (brain-inspired) computing, combining a two-day discussion meeting with a one-day translation-focused event.
Organised by Professor Stephen Furber CBE FREng FRS, Professor Judith Driscoll FREng FRS, Professor Stuart Parkin FREng FRS, Dr Sebastian C Dixon and Professor Tony Kenyon, this event addresses the unsustainable energy demands of AI and the potential of neuromorphic hardware. The two-day Discussion Meeting (23–24 November) brings together academic researchers to explore fundamental advances and challenges across materials, devices, systems and applications. The one-day Transforming our Future event (25 November) focuses on broader impacts, translation and future directions. Attendees may join any of the days; attendance across all three is not required.
