About

A practical ensemble exploring consort music through varied combinations of instruments and 17th-century repertoire.

A mixed-instrument consort explores 17th-century repertoire at modern pitch, with group and sectional playing, individual practice, listening and score reading. Players need Grade 5 standard and good music-reading skills; sight-reading is not required. Applicants complete a start interview with the Music Department. Different terms explore different sound combinations.
