String Chamber Groups and Orchestra: Session 1 — Spring 2027 (PA0178)
About
Rehearse chamber music in small string ensembles, with coaching to develop listening, ensemble playing and performance skills.
Violin, viola, cello and double-bass players work in small groups, normally one player per part. Learners need at least three years of instrumental experience, music-reading skills and their own instrument. The first class includes assessment and group formation, so places depend on suitable instrument and experience matches. Repertoire is chosen with the tutor for each term; learners practise between sessions. 10-week course; Friday classes advertised 18:00–19:30. The full intake runs 2027-01-15 to 2027-03-19; contact the centre for the individual class calendar.
