About

A moving one-man play inspired by former Clyde shipyard workers, exploring work, identity and loss, at Beacon Arts Centre.

Inspired by conversations with former shipyard workers, Clydebuilt follows Joe, who worked on the Clyde when the river built ships that travelled the world. Through his memories, the play steps into a world built on skill, humour, friendship and pride in work. It celebrates the people behind one of Scotland's greatest industries while reflecting on the decline of a way of life that shaped communities across the country. Performances run at 7.30pm on both days, with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
