About
A screening of Nicola Black's documentary about artist Caroline Walker, followed by a Q&A with Walker and Black at Kelvin Hall.
The Hunterian hosts a screening of Nicola Black's documentary 'Caroline Walker: Women's Work', which follows the Scottish artist over four years as she paints the unseen labour of women in settings from hospitals to hotels. The film weaves studio footage, family life and interviews with the subjects of Walker's paintings, exploring themes of motherhood, care and the 'artist mother'. The evening runs from welcome drinks at 5.30pm, through the one-hour screening, to a 30-minute Q&A with Walker and Black and closing drinks.
